DREAMS

Did you ever dream the perfect dream when you were sleeping? Did you ever want that to happen? “Dreams” are not just things happening when you are sleeping. They can actually happen if you maybe set up a goal. Some people all over the world don’t even realize their dream until any age, even at their 60’s! Think about what YOU want to have as your dream.
At what age should a person give up his/her dreams? I think that there are no such things as “giving up” their dreams, if they try, then they can make it happen at any age. Susan Boyle for example, people were shocked that she was over 40, but then when they heard her sing I think it didn’t really matter how old she was, and Susan Boyle stood up in front of the whole crowd. Age doesn’t matter, but if a person wants to give up, then I think they should when they actually achieved their goal.
What can a person do to realize his/her dream? I think people who doesn’t know their dreams should set up a goal in life and when they find something they actually enjoy doing, they should keep working on it, so that they won’t regret life when they pass away. I think also that they should “try” making things happen and I think that’s the most important part.
My dreams are having a job which can help people who are in need and live life better. A doctor or a dentist. I’m not sure yet to pick one of those 2, but to be that person I want to achieve my greatest goal of going to a good college and I achieve that goal by studying hard, making a goal each month, and trying. Also, my goal isn’t just a job, my goal is to be someone who is open-minded, caring, a thinker, and who accepts life just the way it is.
Dreams cannot be blocked just because of looks, gender, age, and how people dress. They can make things happen. If you did achieve your goal or finally realized your dream, then make a new goal. There’s many things find out in life whether you are old or young! If I were to make a quote that lasts forever then it is “Nothing is impossible if you try”. Wishes are almost the same thing as dreams. Think your wish is impossible? Wrong! Say “I can do it!” and it can happen.

"Formatvies should be worth at least a samll percentage on reports to help student learning." Agree or Disagree?

I disagree, because if it effects on grade it can take a lot of concern for a student, and no body wants stress. If it's just formative, the student can be comfortable learning and help prepare for the big summative. I think it really doesn't matter weather the formative is effected on the grade and actually learn just because it is effected. It matters on the student how they actually care about their grade to go to college and I think that's their choice to go to a good college or not. I also think that learning is not a force, you have to actually enjoy doing it and acutually "trying to learn. So, that's why I think it is not important wheather the formatives have a small effect on grades.

Spring Break- Writing 7

During spring break, I slept more than I ususually sleep. At Saturday, I went to my friend's birthday party at Coex in Seoul. We all hung out there, went to the no-rae-bang to sing, shopping, and ate at Burger King. We all had a good time together.I ate at the outbacksteak house with my family and ate juicy, delicious steak there. Other than sleeping, eating, and doing my homework, I spent time with my mom. While my dad was at work, my mom and I went to the Galleria Mall to go shopping for shoes, clothes, and bags. The Galleria Mall was bigger than the one in Suwon, and it had much, much more prettier clothes, so I had a great time shopping there with my mom. After a whole day of shopping, my mom and I went downstairs to the food court to get something to eat. We had bags of clothes supprisingly. On Sunday, it was my grandma's birthday on my dad's side. We were having dinner at my house and my mom was preparing food. I truthfully wasn't having a good time because they were all "adults". We all ate cake and the delicious food that my mom made. Then at night, I got ready for a another full day of school.

My most treasurd childhood memory- Writing 7

It wasn't a dream and it wasn't heaven either. I was 12 in America and lived in Indiana. It was December and it was cold and chily outside. I looked into my window thinking what I would really like for Christmas. I thought what I couldn't get when I was little. I was pretty lonely these days and I wanted something that could keep me entertained. A bunny? I thought about that but it would be too small and I would always have to keep it in a cage and I wanted an animal that could move all around the house as free will. I thought... and thought..and I finally knew what I wanted. A dog. I went down the stairs and asked nervously for a dog. My parents first said no because it was a lot of responsibility and would take a lot of time to train it. The next day, my family and I went to the mall to go shopping after church. In the mall, there was a small pet shop and when we were passing by it, we stopped and took a look at it, but my dad told me it was only for looking, not buying. I looked at the cute puppies that were playing around, they needed a home and a family. I asked my parents one more time nicely. My dad glanced at me, then the puppies. I thought that he feeled the same way too for the puppies. My dad finally said "ok". My mom looked at my dad that she didn't want a dog in our house, but I had a reason I wanted a dog and I knew that my parents took care of dogs when they were in THEIR childhood and I also knew that they loved dogs too. Then my mom suddenly agreed. I jumped and hopped with my sister and went inside the pet shop again and asked the clerk. My mom said that we should take care of a pomeranian because it would remind my mom again of her dog that died a long time ago. We asked the clerk to order a pomeranian, then she said that pomeranian puppies don't come until AFTER christmas. I couldn't wait until after christmas! I wasn't a patient girl, so my family just left. I was surely dissapointed.
The next sunday, my mom's friend on the phone that she saw on the newspaper that a house was selling pomeranian puppies! My mom went to her friend house for the phone number. Then when she came back to our house, my dad called the house phone number. I could hear it was ringing, I couldn't wait. Then the phone answered finally. My dad talked about the cost and where we should meet. I was expecting to be next week, but my dad said now! I was smiling and rushed to my room to get dressed, in any minute I was getting a dog. My dad told me that we would meet the owner of the puppies in Target (a store). When we finally got to Target, the owner came. She brought two gorgeous puppies, one was white and the other was light brown mixed with white. My parents and I finally decided to get the mixed-colored one. When the owner put the puppy into my hands, I wrapped it with my warm, furry coat. I thought this was a dream, it wasn't. That day was one of the happiest moment in my life and I couldn't ask for anything more. Then I named my dog, Bella. A good, simple, and a pretty name for a girl dog.

If I were principal of GSIS- Writing 7

If I were the principal of this school, I would first pick the best teachers from the U.S. from the best schools in the United States or teachers that are very educated and have experienced a lot of things from at least one of the main topics from this school like social studies, science, math, music, reading, or writing. I would also make the Gym attatched to this building instead of going and walking outside to go to P.E. I wouldn't make people that go to school here pay if you your duedate for the book you checked out, it seems like the school wants more and more money. I would just call their parents and let them know that our library book is missing, and if someone lost our library book then they would have to pay the normal price of the book. I would put computers in each room for people to use during classtime or learning time instead of making them bringing laptops because it would just waste their money when they paid a huge amount of money for going to this school. Also, for last if i were principal I would only let people in that have experienced many years in america, because if I just let in people who have only lived in america for 1 or 2 years, then they would have a hard time learning here. Also, the dicipline in this school will be very serious. If anyone does any stalking or voilence they will be suspended at least for one day, even if its their first, depending on how serious it is.

That is what I would do if I were the pricipal of this school!

Writing 7- What I would've liked to do

During winter break, I didnt really do much, but what I've liked to do instead of staying at home was either hang out with my friends, go back to america, and go back skiing. I really wanted to go back to America because I wanted to visit my friends in Indiana or Iowa, or I wanted to go to Florida because I wanted to go to Disney Land and stay at a hotel and relax. I also wanted to go skiinag, but my family and I had to stay there for 1 day and we have a dog at our house so we didnt want our dog to stay home alone for one day. I never went skiing, so would like to try going skiing sometime of this year.
